Quince with Lemon & Honey
Ingredients:
- 4-5 quinces, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2 inch wedges
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3-4 cloves
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a medium-sized baking dish, arrange the quince wedges in a single layer.
- In a small saucepan, combine the honey, water, lemon juice and zest, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the honey is completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture over the quince wedges in the baking dish.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with foil.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the quince is tender and translucent, stirring once or twice during baking.
- Remove the foil from the dish and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the quince is golden brown and caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Serve warm as a side dish or dessert.
