Falling Arches
Flat feet, or fallen arches, is a condition where the arches on the inside of the feet are flattened, causing the entire foot to touch the ground. This can lead to foot pain, fatigue, and even problems in other areas of the body, such as the knees and lower back.
Falling arches can be caused by a number of factors, including genetics, age, obesity, injury, or wear and tear. People with flat feet may experience pain or discomfort when walking, standing for long periods, or participating in physical activities. They may also be more prone to developing conditions such as plantar fasciitis, shin splints, and stress fractures.
Treatment options for falling arches depend on the severity of the condition and the individual’s symptoms. Conservative treatments such as stretching exercises, orthotic inserts, and supportive footwear may be recommended to relieve symptoms and prevent further damage. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to correct the arches and alleviate pain and discomfort. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
